Black Forest Kennel of the High Plains We hunt more wild quail than any other Pointing Labrador Kennel! Van Deren's Black Magic Magic is a trial bred black female. Her sire is NFC Maxx's Surprise. Her Dam is Redline Lilliehammer MH. Magic has tons of trainability and marking ability in her makeup. She is one of the best marking dogs we own. She proves this time and time again in the field each fall, as she repeatedly retrieves birds we felt she did not mark. She proves us wrong all the time in this regard. Although Magic is not bred for point, her pedigree mixes very well with our pointing studs. This allows her to throw some outstanding pups that point and posses the finer attributes of the trial lines.
