Black Forest Kennel of the High Plains We hunt more wild quail than any other Pointing Labrador Kennel! BLACK FOREST HIGH PLAINS CP MARNIE Marnie is our beautiful 60 lb fox red female. She is a miniature version of her father GMPR Otter MH. We have had several clients enter the kennel and comment, She has to be an Otter dog. Around our kennel Marnie has earned herself the reputation as our number one blue quail dog (not an easy feat with her competition). She has done this by consistently pointing and holding on the wild running blue quail we hunt each season. Marnie developed the ability to not bust these runners on her own and does it better than any dog we hunt. When she was introduced to Gambles quail in New Mexico, she repeated the performance. Now we just call her our "Desert Dog" since she has consistent results pointing desert quail. Marnie has produced some very nice pups. Their new owners have had nothing but good things to say. Several have earned APLA titles and more will do so in the future.
